In the creation of DejaVu Design Recycled Textiles, the mandate most important is as follows: · ecological , · environmentally responsible, · Unique and useful. · with creative and whimsical design The sewing studio is located just outside the Sewing and textiles have been a lifelong passion for me. As mass production increases, clothing and household excess also increases. There are few people who don’t know someone with a basement full of fantastic things that are too good to give or throw away. As “boomers” age, the younger generation “inherits” this bounty of goods.

Laura has a background in international wholesale; primarily in developing baskets , garden items and furniture.
After 15 years of travelling for work to China, the Phillipines, VietNam and Europe, she has decided to "walk the talk" and make a conscious effort to promote and create a new company, focused on recycling textiles .

It is about 700 sq ft and is a bright and inspiring space.
I have "accumulated " 5 sewing machines,
a large cutting table, (with plenty of textiles),
and a small office.
( just ask my Mom..... )
Some recent statistics suggest that 8% of landfill is textile based.
